About Us
Maui High School offers three choirs to students in grades 9th-12th. Each choir focuses on proper vocal technique, choral performance practice and musicianship appropriate for its level. Each choir participates in a minimum of two concerts per year, with additional performance opportunities available.
Concert Choir
The Maui High School Concert Choir is the largest vocal ensemble and is comprised of students grades 9th-12th. Students are required to attend after-school rehearsals in preparation for concerts, and are awarded one credit for their participation throughout the year.
Chamber Choir
The Maui High School Chamber Choir is the top performing vocal ensemble, often singing collegiate level repertoire. The ensemble is comprised of students grades 9th-12th. Admittance into the Chamber Choir is done by audition. Students are required to attend after-school rehearsals in preparation for concerts, and are awarded one credit for their participation throughout the year.
Show Choir
The Saber Sounds Show Choir is an after-school ensemble comprised of students grades 9th-12th. Admittance into the Show Choir is done by audition. Students are required to attend after-school rehearsals in preparation for concerts and are awarded a half credit for their participation through the spring semester.
